FRP tank is far more than standard barrels with a simple new label. Compared with carbon steel, the material weight is about one fourth to one fifth, which makes lifting and foundation work easier on many sites. For acids, alkalis, salt solutions and some organic solvents, resin choice matters more than a catalogue photo. The tank body is made with glass fiber reinforcement and resin, then formed by controlled winding so the wall thickness and fiber direction stay steady.
Components
A usual FRP tank includes the wound shell, top head or flat cover, bottom support area, inlet and outlet nozzles, manhole, vent, drain, lifting points and nameplate. For exposed outdoor use, we can add a weather-resistant outer layer. Flanges may be matched with the customer's pipe standard before drilling.
