The Production Process And Processing Stages Of Cable Trays

The production process of cable trays can be divided into six core stages.

The first stage is material preparation, mainly using raw materials such as galvanized steel sheets, aluminum alloys, or fiberglass for cutting, ensuring that the sheet thickness matches the design parameters. After cutting, the edges need to be ground to eliminate burrs.

The second stage is the stamping and forming process, using a CNC punch press to process standard holes on the surface of the cable tray, and simultaneously using a hydraulic bending machine to form the side panels, ensuring that the bending angle error is controlled within ±1°.

The third stage is welding and assembly, using CO2 shielded welding to combine the base plate, side panels, and crossbars. After welding, the weld seams need to be ground and polished.

The fourth stage is surface treatment. Powder coating requires degreasing, phosphating, and electrostatic spraying processes, while galvanizing ensures that the zinc layer thickness is not less than 80μm.

The fifth stage is quality inspection, including load testing, dimensional verification, and corrosion resistance verification. Each batch of products needs to be sampled and subjected to a 500-hour salt spray test.

Finally, the products undergo warehousing and packaging, being wrapped with shock-absorbing film for protection before being placed in wooden crates. Electronic tags are used for product traceability. The entire production process adheres to the ISO9001 quality management system, ensuring that the cable tray products meet the requirements of building electrical installation specifications.
