Modern industrial and infrastructure projects operating in corrosive, humid, or electrically sensitive environments require cable support systems engineered for structural longevity. To meet these rigorous demands, Ruikun, as one of the leading composite cable tray manufacturers, has expanded its portfolio to provide structured, application-based routing solutions. Our comprehensive lineup includes fiberglass cable trays, GRP cable trays, fibreglass cable ladders, and high-performance composite cable trays designed for aggressive environments.

Material Composition and Dimensional Specifications

The steel-reinforced polymer composite cable tray utilizes an inner steel skeleton combined with a corrosion-resistant polymer lining. Material testing and quality records indicate a steel substrate thickness of approximately 2.03 to 2.04 mm, paired with a polymer lining measuring 2.76 mm, exceeding the baseline 2.5 mm requirement. The formulation is based on bisphenol A epoxy resin, reinforced and filled with glass fiber and calcium carbonate.

Load Capacity and Mechanical Performance

For engineers comparing cable routing infrastructure, load stability remains a primary design criterion. In type tests conducted under the JB/T 10216-2013 standard, a 200 × 100 mm tray successfully carried a rated uniformly distributed load of 1,000 N/m over a 2-meter span, registering a measured deflection of 6.9 mm against a 10 mm allowable limit. Furthermore, test samples passed a 10 J impact test following temperature conditioning. Following 48 hours of salt-spray exposure, the base metal exhibited zero rust spots, confirming its suitability for coastal installations, chemical processing plants, and aggressive industrial environments.

Electrical Insulation and Fire Retardancy

Electrical and fire-performance metrics provide critical safety verification for high-voltage routing. The tested tray successfully completed five 16 kV power-frequency withstand cycles without electrical breakdown or flashover, achieving an IP30 protection rating in the evaluated configuration.

Regarding fire safety, the composite tray board is classified as a B1 difficult-to-burn material under GB 8624-2012, holding a C-s3, d0, t0 classification with authorization valid through July 31, 2028. Additional performance metrics include an oxygen index of up to 47.2 percent, V-0 vertical-burning performance, and a low smoke-density value of 15.9.

Chemical Resistance and Temperature Range

Corrosion test data validate the material stability under severe chemical exposure. Following 14 days of immersion in 30 percent sulfuric acid and 95 percent ethanol, test samples retained a bending strength of 130.2 MPa. Seven-day exposure trials involving 15 percent hydrochloric acid, 20 percent sodium hydroxide, saturated salt water, machine oil, and distilled water caused no observable surface degradation.

The material likewise demonstrated structural stability after seven days at extreme low temperatures of -40°C and -70°C. Based on empirical test results, the long-term operational temperature range is established at approximately -40°C to +80°C.

Application Guidance and Customization

The product line is available in trough, tray, and ladder configurations, with customizable dimensions including width, height, length, and profile geometry.

Project buyers generally select the steel-reinforced composite variant for applications prioritizing maximum load support and impact resistance, while fully non-metallic polymer trays are deployed where minimized weight, total electrical insulation, or complete metal-free isolation is required. This application-based approach ensures accurate material specification according to actual site conditions.
